The Bharat Economic Forum (BEF), India’s emerging global platform for investment, innovation, and policy thought-leadership, is now expanding across all states of India with the launch of autonomous State Chapters. This expansion aims to harness the collective power of local governance, private enterprise, and global capital to create a development model that is rooted in India’s strengths yet connected to global opportunities.
Why State Chapters Matter For Viksit Bharat ?
India’s growth story is vast and diverse. Each state has its own unique assets, industries, and cultural capital. Yet, too often, high-potential states remain underrepresented in global investment flows. The creation of State Chapters within BEF will ensure that:
Every state has a dedicated body championing its development agenda.
Local leaders—MPs, MLAs, bureaucrats, entrepreneurs, and community leaders—can collaborate on priority projects.
Investment opportunities in infrastructure, technology, healthcare, renewable energy, and manufacturing are effectively showcased to both Indian and global investors.
The Indian diaspora and foreign investors can find structured entry points into high-growth opportunities across India.
Each State Chapter will function autonomously while aligning with the broader mission of Viksit Bharat@2047—the vision of a developed, empowered, and globally competitive India.

BEF Secretariat & Central Body
While the State Chapters focus on localized economic transformation, the BEF Central Secretariat will coordinate with them to:
Ensure alignment with national priorities.
Conduct Investors Dialogues, Bilateral Trade Talks, and Private Investors Roundtables in New Delhi and partner nations.
Connect foreign capital and Indian diaspora networks to projects in states where they can generate both profit and purpose.
This model allows for local autonomy with global collaboration, making BEF the connective tissue between India’s ground realities and global opportunities.
Manish Patel, the Founder & Chairman of Bharat Economic Forum, shared his conviction:
“India’s journey to Viksit Bharat by 2047 must be collective, not fragmented. Through State Chapters, we are enabling every region to tell its own story, attract its own investment, and contribute to the nation’s larger destiny. This is not just about economics—it is about dignity, pride, and self-belief.”
He further added:
“For decades, many Indians have felt compelled to migrate in search of opportunity. But as we build a Bharat that is stronger each day, we want our youth to feel that their best opportunities lie here, at home. And for our diaspora abroad, when anti-migration movements rise in developed nations, they should be able to say with pride—‘I have invested in, contributed to, and built my homeland, which is now a global powerhouse.’”

Call for Powerful State Leadership
As part of this historic expansion, BEF is inviting applications for leadership positions in State Chapters. Leaders will:
Guide the economic and policy vision for their state.
Work with government, industry, and civil society to execute impactful initiatives.
Represent their state in national and global BEF dialogues.
Play a key role in channeling diaspora contributions and foreign capital into transformative projects.
This is an opportunity for changemakers, business leaders, policymakers, and visionaries to take ownership of their state’s growth story and be remembered as architects of Viksit Bharat.
Building Together, Growing Together
The Viksit Bharat vision is not just a government policy—it is a national mission. By aligning state-level opportunities with global investment and diaspora energy, BEF is building a model of growth where:
Indian youth choose to stay back and build enterprises at home.
The diaspora finds pride and purpose in contributing to Bharat’s rise.
Global investors see India as their most trusted growth partner.
“The 21st century belongs to Bharat. But only if we build it—together. Our collective wealth, networks, and innovations must flow into our own soil, so that when we look back in 2047, we know we were not just witnesses but proud builders of Viksit Bharat.”
